My Lil Chunk of Presh is 1, 1, 1!!!!!

This summer has been totally NUTZ! Once again, we have 800 million things going on in a matter of a few weeks. Acers turns 1, exactly 1 day before Molls gets married to Mike.

Naturally, we just had to squeeze in a little party to show Ace some birthday love. Fam and friends who were in town for the wedding all stopped by to celebrate; it was a perfect way for our little blue-eyed boy to ring in #1.

Our little bride-to-be, just about 24 hours before the ceremony…

Acers, you are truly the silliest and sweetest 1-year-old in the world. You are already talking and saying a lot of words! You love saying “Hi” to strangers, and your first word was “Momma” (I LOVE). You definitely have a sneaky little personality, and sometimes you are a little stinker. I can’t get over your beautiful blue eyes that are reminiscent of your Grandpa Frank and Auntie Nat. They are truly spellbinding. You are so connected to me (ok, you’re SUPER needy for momma), but it’s soooooo special.

You warm our world, our hearts, our home. Happy 1st Birthday, Chunk.

Darling Dubost Hosts!

Our last weekend in California had a lot packed into a few days, but a visit with one of our favorite fams was a MUST.

Not only were Colleen, Davis and Dylann amazing hosts and playmates, but they even baked us a cake and showered us with gifts to celebrate all the Argenal summer b-days!

On the last day, Colleen and I went on a double stroller run through the San Clemente Hills. As you can see, she is not pictured below because SHE DOMINATED those peaks and valleys whilst I nearly lost a lung.

Goodbye San Clemente! Goodbye Dubosts! Thanks a trills.
Maybe you should cancel Turtle Bay, Oahu and come to Houston? Heard our new city has some cool water parks…kids won’t even notice the lack of turtles.

Balloons + Water = WAR

Well, we finally moved out of our house and sent the moving truck on it’s way (or so we thought, but that’s a whole other blog post altogether.) Before Molly’s wedding this coming weekend, we stayed at my Mom’s for a few days.  Between Gus practicing for the ceremony and making recruiting calls, I decided he needed a stress-reliever.

It started out innocently enough…

But it was a slippery slope…

And then total mayhem broke out…

But we did save the best for last, and Dad got a orange zinger right to the neck (sorry…kind of)!!!! I think that stress reliever may have left a mark.

Brotherly Love

Some days, Bo and Ace are truly picture perfect…

And other days, we have disastrous incidents with a Sharpie.

Sometimes, full-time Mommas have to take showers when the kids are awake. So I put Bo and Ace in our room which is open to the bathroom, and made sure they had a bunch of toys to play with.

But, SHOCKER, somehow Bo finds a Sharpie (ok, it was laying on top of a moving box about Bo’s height) and decides to TATTOO Ace EVERYWHERE. Including a giant X on his back? Honestly, WTH? Sorry, for the language BUT, I was fuming and obviously, I still am since I’m angry right now typing this and it’s been weeks since it happened.

It was kinda, sorta my fault COMPLETELY, but I didn’t have a sense of humor about it at all. You kind of LOSE IT altogether when you are packing a 4 bedroom house by yourself with two crazies under 3 yrs old, and no husband for 8 days. SERIOUSLY. LOSING. IT.

When I called Gus to complain about how horrible Bo was, he was dying laughing. I’m glad someone thought it was funny. : )

Reece is #1 Today!

 

As usual, this little button-nosed ginger girl was sweet as sugar, hugging everyone, laughing at Auntie Hannah for every pic, and simply happy to be Reece.

I have truly never been around a baby who is so easy and loving all the time. The only time she got a little rowdy was when she wiped cake on Bo’s face. CLASSIC Kate Turner move.

Tons of Reece’s family and friends came to watch her destroy her first cake, including her two other amigos who have truly been there since day 1:

And, of course, these two…

Katel’s and Jesse threw Reece one amazing celebration! They are AMAZING parents and we will miss seeing them every weekend. : (
