A New Wingman...

Two weekends in a row, Bo was lucky enough to have visitors to play with. During season when Dad works most of the weekend and especially when it's sopping wet outside, visitors are crucial to my sanity. Yay for Mimi and Lukey!

Bo was a fixture at Luke's side for 3 days! They played hunting games, trucks and trains and even flew airplanes every waking hour.

These two wild romping pilots were too excited when Gus took them out to fly the Helicopter they'd been "sharing" all weekend.

They chased it around for a good half hour until Uncle Gus decided it would be really cool to shoot it low and watch it...umm, break.

Luke and Bo were both pretty confused about the whole thing. Helicopters need three propellers to fly, we quickly found out. So Luke grabs the broken toy copter and says "Well, Unce Gus, you'll just have to double-wing it."

And finally, a huge thanks, Mimi, for cheering on the Wildcats through a rough weekend (frown) and I forever owe you for letting me sleep for 2 hours while you did my laundry!
Bo misses you so much already. "Mimi" is definitely his new favorite word...well, besides "more."

A Sunny Sunday!

It had been soooo long since we had been to the park because of this chilly, wet winter that Bo is now sliding down the big slides all by himself. I know this is earth-shattering news, so try to contain yourselves when reading this post. : )

I think the biggest success of the day was when Bo fell off this see-saw, he escaped with minor injuries and Dad's phone call carried on. Gus is such an amazing multi-tasker.

No harm done, and let's be honest, Mom can't exactly say she's ever been distracted while watching her crazy toddler as well!

For Bo, a visit from his Great Gramps and Great Grandma D, initially meant another dog to torture (sorry, Polly) and another dog bed to roll in (ewww!).

But Bo quickly warmed up to them while practicing his leaf-throwing skills at the park:

We finally got some chilly, but at least "outdoorsable" weather to enjoy Chico's charming downtown. It felt like it had been months since we've done that.

Bo loved their visit and finished the weekend with a sunny smile!
Thanks again for the wonderful visit!!!

Hello 2011!

And the So-cal adventure continues! To ring in the new year, Bo and I headed to Jamie and Kam's house just down the road in San Diego! Jamie is one of my oldest and best friends in the world, and Bo and her 2 yr old Juliet embraced their new friendship. Though "Jet" loves dolls and teacups, and Bo loves to break her dolls and teacups, she was an amazing sharer!

Jamie and Kam were kind enough to let me invite a few of my friends and family over for a NYE bash at their beautiful house. "My party" wasn't quite the BASH most would be looking for, but when diapers and toddlers almost outnumber the adults, you make the most of it! Plus, you get the added bonus of a hangover-free New Year's day. ; )

Thanks again, Waltons, for a great NYE and for letting the Argenal's take over your castle yet again. We love u guys! I'm sorry I have no pics of Jamie and her 9 month old, Kennedy, but my camera went mysteriously missing for a week. AND it wasn't me this time! I know you all don't believe me, but it's true. Ask Kate Vanhorn.

San Clemente Sunshine!

Can we say, ahhhhhh, SUN!!!!!! My solar-powered soul got some MUCH needed vitamin-d enrichment while visiting one of my favorite friends! San Clemente was bursting with winter sunshine, so despite the chilly temps, we beached it!

Bo could've played on the beach all day! In fact, he realized that shells...ummmm, well, I actually don't have anything witty to write about why he's holding the shell out in salute to the ocean. It's just a ridiculous picture, so I had to add. : )

Below is our amazing hostess, Colleen, and of course, Davis, her darling son, who Bo LOVES to death. "Davis" is the first friend name he has learned to say!

The picture with the giant Pelican was crucial to the success of the trip.
Bo loved it.

San Clemente also brought Bo a new look! After seeing Bo with his new haircut, I realize my family and friends need to step in sooner. I obviously haven't gotten over the fact my Mom gave me a trendy "pixie cut" before my first day of Kindergarten. Tear.

So I didn't want to cut Bo's unruly mane, but Colleen gently suggested a FUN place to get a trim. What would I do without best friends! Note to mothers of boys, longer hair isn't always better! And mothers of girls, please note that pixie cuts and Kindergarten do not mesh. ever.

Bo was great most of the haircut and he even got to devour his 1st lollipop!

During two beachy days, a mall melt-down, and a Wild Animal Park trek, every car ride home resulted in double pass-outs within 5 minutes.

But Bo and Davis didn't miss a BEAT since their last visit in July!

And what can I say about my lil Dilly-bop! Dylann is one of the sweetest, quietest, most laughable, smiling infants I have ever met! I mean, look at this girl's beautiful face!!!! I miss those dimples already!

Thank you, Dubosts, for so much fun and some much needed SUN!
