Tricks and Treats!

It was all about the SUPER in Superhero this Halloween! We decided to head out to Lodi to celebrate with Grandma Noreen and her Great Grandparents in Lodi. It is Noreen’s favorite Holiday and she always goes all out! The kids that stop by her darling home don’t get candy, they get gender appropriate treat bags full of goodies! She is the epitome of a SUPER Grandma.

A huge toast to the Witchiest with the Mostest! Let’s pretend that makes sense.

And because I’m lazy and still 6 months behind on this family journal/blog, I’m going to add a few more Funtober pics. Overall, Halloween is simply AN AWESOME time of the year.

We had a quick playdate with Nana. Highlights included Ace peeing his pants and decorating brownies.

And though the boys, aka Bo, decided on super heroes, they still had plenty of costume days. This green dino suit was Gus’s when he was little. Noreen sewed it herself and possibly stuffed it with barbells. IT’S RIDICULOUSLY HEAVY.

And the boys LOVED LOVED this old school creation by yours truly.

And finally, we had an incredible time at Sulphur Creek Nature Center’s Un-haunted House. It was completely decorated and had a very cool event that included superheroes and live animals, spooky crafts and games, and we even got to roast marshmellows.

A Very Serious Spidey

Ace rarely stays put long enough for me to get a good shot of his sweet lil’ face.

IMG_2235

And during this photo-shoot, I couldn’t even get him to crack a smile…

IMG_2215

So I told serious boy he could put on his Halloween costume…

As you can see, the mood really lightened up…

Funtober Begins!

My Boys LOVE Holidays, and I have to channel their enthusiasm before they get too cool to care. So we apologize for not returning emails and calls, but we are too busy crafting, playing, exploring and creating all through this spooktacular month!!!

Bo was fired up making this witch hat and wore it all month!

Every Holiday we stop by the library to get the holiday-appropriate books and this time we stumbled upon the “Gus the Ghost” series. Lets just say the boys were FIRED UP to show Dad.

IMG_2191

And we got to fit in some Funtober play dates with the darling Uchikura girls as well.

IMG_2186

How did we fit in time to step on the moon in Oakland? Who knew?

Sharing Halloween cupcakes with their favorite neighbor girls was quite the treat…

IMG_2151

And making spooky, krispy spiders with wormy legs? The amount of “decorations” that ended up in my boys’ mouths rather than on the spiders, gives me Mom guilt just thinking about it! Yikes.

And many, many afternoons of paint, scissors, glue, stickers, and belly laughs.
