A Green Halloween Continues

As if Bo didn’t get ENOUGH candy at downtown Davis’s trick-or-treat event, we decided to give it another go in our neighborhood. Truth is, you can NEVER have too much candy for potty training!

Our neighborhood was ALIVE and darling and full of kid crazies! There were a few houses that scared the LIVING $%^& out of Bo and this boy HATES, I MEAN HATES masks. Such a little Scaredy Cat just like his Pops. Ok, so me too. Gus and I both refuse to watch scary movies because yes, WE ARE HUGE SCAREDY CATS. What does Scaredy Cat even mean? I can’t believe I typed it twice in one paragraph. DORK.

Ok, back on track. Here are some pics of my little man bravely ringing doorbells by himself and shamelessly treating all throughout Penhow circle.

And of course, baby frog / tadpole came along for the ride.

Argenals have gone GREEN!

My mom commented on Bo’s costume that he will never forgive us for making him pose as a giant green amphibian. I’m here to set the record straight. Grandma Argenal bought Bo the COOLEST Lightning McQueen racing suit, but since I know my fickle child so well, I brought a few options when I came to meet him. He had been staying at Nana and Poppa’s house in the bay area, so we met up in Davis for the downtown trick-or-treat event.

Of course Bo had just woken up and as always it was somewhat scary. This toddler DOES NOT like to be woken up (must get that from Auntie Molly..heehee). I had to beg and plead and bribe with reckless abandonment that there would be candy if he would only put on his costume.  That’s when desperate measures called for a GIANT GREEN FROG.

RIBBIT!

So we got two frogs and a darling lil’ Lion on that beautiful Halloween afternoon.

When Bo finally snapped out of it, he was on a MISSION! May I say that his, “Thank you, Have a good day” was hit with all the business owners.

Best trick-or-treat was Gus/Daddy and the Aggies!

It was about this time that I realized Ace was close to suffering heatstroke under that polyester green jumper. Oopsies.

Thanks to Kate and Nana for HELPING me with my two crazies. XX

My Lil’ Chef channeling Nana…

We walked to a local pumpkin patch and it was DARLING!

IMG_6822IMG_6831

Ace and I spent at least an hour watching Bo travel the patch and fill his wagon with Pumpkins.

IMG_6835IMG_6837IMG_6846

He dragged it ALL THE WAY to the front where you buy them. This kid is a determined, hard-working boy just like his Daddy (or Momma if it concerns planning vacations.)

IMG_6848

Ok, this must be talked about. Bo dragged each tractor about 200 feet and placed them next to each other in this exact position! And he said, “Where’s Kendall?”

IMG_6852

Kendall is Bo’s friend who turns 2 in a few weeks. I explained to him that we will see her tonight! He can’t stand her:

Bo and Momma HEART HALLOWEEEEEN!!!

Sorry, Kid, but we all have to move on and get ready for the next Holiday and believe me, if you thought October was fun, just wait for December!

(Stay tuned for Bo’s Lightning McQueen debut on Halloween!)

And I had a fabulous time with one of my BESTIES!

Please come back soon…Bo might sink into a deep depression soon. : )

Mike n' Molly and Muir Woods!

Ace and Reece got to experience their first hike at the BEAUTIFUL Muir Woods, and Bo found a new best friend in Molly’s Mike.
IMG_6723 Fuse
Mike was the PERFECT hiking buddy for Bo (who doesn’t love a free shoulder ride?) Bo literally can’t stop talking about his “best buddy”.
IMG_6719IMG_6721
The hike was GORGEOUS and peaceful for us and a whole new world for Bo to investigate.  Auntie Molly and Mike were on a banana slug hunt and once they found the first one, we realized they were everywhere…just camouflaged!
IMG_6734IMG_6738IMG_6756IMG_6750
Ace and Reece had few complaints, the weather was perfect and it was just an overall fantastic day with my fam!
IMG_6746IMG_6743IMG_6753
We stopped in Sausalito on the way home and ate at Horizon’s right on the bay. GA-GA-GORGEOUS! Mimi gave me a break from the Ace-harness (a 15 lb. 2 month old is HEAVY!), so I could try to contain my EXHAUSTED toddler.
IMG_6762IMG_6763IMG_6767IMG_6768
It was beautiful ending to a beautiful day and the 2 hour drive home was perfection…
IMG_6770
Ok, the last part is a LIE! My “perfect” baby, Ace, serenaded us the ENTIRE way home with his screech owl screaming and this is NOT an exaggeration, he fell asleep when we pulled in the driveway. Such a comedian.
