Mimi’s Biggest Fan

Mimi has cast a spell on Bo and she truly has his HEART! Her weekend visit almost ended with a tearfully pleading Bo, pulling with desperation at Mimi’s travel bag…but since it was almost time for bed:

He got one last Mimi treat!

Thanks again, Mom, for a perfect visit. XOXO

Bo the Toddler…Part III

If I give VERY, VERY crystal clear directions to Bo the Toddler, I can usually get some quality production out of his daily path of destruction. While Mommy cleaned the yard, Bo sincerely watered two of my sun-SHOCKED plants!!! I didn’t even have to follow-up.

This is amazing to Mommy on two levels, one, that he can actually squeeze and control that spray-gun, and two, that he has the patience to attempt drowning both plants.

But perhaps the MOST amazing feat of the day? He thoroughly and vigorously watered my lounge chair and I didn’t even have to ask.

Bo the Toddler…Part II

At Upper Park, we hiked (Bo the Toddler HIKES!) to a clear spot to fly his new helicopters…and Bo crashed through weeds and thistle to grab each one after it landed!

But the best part of the excursion was hearing new sounds!

Bo the Toddler gets totally consumed by new things and becomes MR. SERIOUS and CONCERNED. Momma couldn’t get him to crack a smile as he listened very intently to a bullfrog croaking.

Finally, Bo the Toddler loves to cry pitifully and mournfully when we have to leave from anywhere he is having fun. Mommy tries to plead with him, tries to distract him, but alas, I don’t have a picture to share with you because I am carrying him to the bathroom…uphill, over boulders, trying not to have an accident…ok, you can imagine. : )

Bo the Toddler…Part I

Am I the only Mom that cries…a lot (ok, I am pregnant) over toddler milestones? After I watched Bo fall asleep in his “big boy bed'” I walked past his nursery to see the empty crib and it was OVER! I remembered how TINY he was,and then a Bo blockbuster-baby-montage-slideshow reeled through my head and I couldn’t stop the tears (ok, I’m crying again)! It’s so bittersweet to see your infant become a toddler. I’m so happy for him because every single day of his life is so precious, so I don’t get my tears! Why should I ever feel sad that he’s growing up? I almost feel guilty, but I can’t control it. Support Group, mommy-baby rehab? ; )

Today this toddler plugged in my headphones in my droid and started dancing on the computer chair! But…

just when I can’t believe my little guy is almost 2, talking all day (mixed in with a lot of whining), and running and jumping in the yard…I still try to cherish the big picture in full-view…diapers and all! Oh, how I won’t miss all the mess, but I will miss those precious diaper pics!

“Baby Bo-Bo” can still reign as your top nickname…at least until August. : )
