Mahalo Oahu!

Wow! This last minute booked vacation was a nerve-racking "do or die expedia.com" decision, and it was so worth the impulsiveness! From the very beginning, Bo was a child full of wonder and pure joy!!! He has been obsessed with planes since his first meeting and his toy airplane from Nana became a permanent fixture in his hand all week.

The resort grounds were beautiful...the rooms, hmmm not so much.

This was the only time we spent in the hotel pool! Let's just say we took advantage of the rental car. During Bo's long afternoon naps, we saw every part of the beautiful island!

For our first adventure during Bo's naptime, we drove to Police Beach on the Northshore. The very spot where the LOST beach camp was filmed! Thank goodness for Google Maps and obsessed LOST fans...otherwise we would've been totally...LOST. : )

Only in a warm, sandy climate can we make a pit stop on the way to dinner and have yet another great adventure on the beach...

The Pearl Harbor Memorial is a must-see for anyone visiting! It's such a beautiful place and it's completely free to the public. It can be an emotional walk through the grounds, but also very engaging and even FUN for our lil' soldier.

The beautiful USS Arizona Memorial is built upon the sunken battleship. The ship can been seen just below the surface of the ocean; sadly, it is the final resting place to 1,177 soldiers that lost their lives during the attack on Pearl Harbor.

The top of the Punchbowl Crater...a great view of Honolulu!

The GAH-GAH-GORGEOUS Valley of the Temples...

The best game to distract a toddler from squirly boredom: sucking on limes!

Oahu Blog Part II

On one of our many roadtrips, we stumbled upon this massive cave! Bo was all about it, so we ventured inside....

Even with our beautiful sunny weather all week with almost no raindrops, we still had three or four unbelievable sunsets.

Our favorite place on the island, the Ko' Olina Lagoons! Because the waves are so surf-friendly (huge!!!), the Marriot resort made 4 lagoons that provide perfect surf for the wetsuit wearers toting diapers...

Bo was a perfect beach bum at these lagoons!

We went to the infamous Paradise Cove Luau that night and Bo was the biggest pill on the island. That's what only an hour nap gets you! Thank goodness he fell asleep during the amazing show.

Yah, I'm pretty much a bump-a-holic picture poser. I'll just admit that now. : )

The western tip of the island - nature preserve and hidden beach! Once again, the water is soooo crystal blue and the sand is soooo soft and warm!

Arguably one of the most beautiful beaches in Hawaii is Lanikai on the East Shore. We braved the sandy wind on Sunday for some beautiful waves and breathtaking views!

My hairstyle was not a choice.

And next time we visit...Baby Argenal #2 will b getting tan and sandy with Daddy and Big Bro Bo! Mom will still be covered in sunscreen on the sideline..: )
