Colleen drove all the way up from San Clemente with her two toddlers and it was WILD. For those of you that knew us from the college days, I don’t mean that kind of wild. This is how we spend our “wild-times” now!

I swear they weren’t watching Friday, the 13th! Who knew DISNEY could be so frightful!

And we finally got some HELPING HANDS! Yeah for Husbands!

IT WAS SO MUCH FUN! But we both felt like we ran a marathon again, and all we could say to wrap up the weekend: WE LOVE BEING MOMMIES, BUT GIRLS’ TRIP, PLEASE!

As we all know, Bo is all Argenal from head-to-toe! So not only is it absolutely FOREIGN to hear people say Ace looks like me, but I’m trying not to jump the gun concerning Ace’s little peepers…

BUT, ME TINKS DEY ARE BLUUUEEEEEEE!!!!! What do you think?

Only time will tell, but one thing for sure is, I am loving your amazing “smizing” eyes NO MATTER WHAT beautiful color they turn.

August Arrivals = Two Amazing Threesomes!

Not only was I so lucky to be part of an amazingly down-to-earth trio of baby belly support in Kate and Allison for 9 months, but now I have a FABULOUS trio for gossip, workouts and baby-story swapping. Not to mention extra wipies, and extra hands, because I now have my hands FULL...double stroller and all.

BUT the most fantastic reward of all? Ace has two besties for life!

As you can see, Reece simply ADORES photo-ops with the two chubbiest 6 week old boys in the region.

So if you live anywhere between Newcastle or Sacramento, please beware of the STROLLER MOM’S BRIGADE…if you see us coming down your street, beware, you may be greeted by “onesie-destroying blowouts,” projectile spit-up contests, and the incessant wailing of the “nursery choir.” And don’t  be shocked if you witness us doing the “walk-n-nurse”…it’s our #1 workout.

AND, we still make an effort to get out of the house for evening fun with our husbands…we just have new accessories. Hooter-hiders are so in this year. : )

Does having kids change EVERYTHING? Yes. Is it worth it? Hmmm, that’s a hard one.

I’M KIDDING. OF COURSE IT IS!!!

One thing I know for sure, the ebbs and flows come and go with A LOT LESS STRESS when your sister and girlfriend are nursing at Yard House with you! YEAH FOR “STROLLER MOMS.”

Ode to Ace

Warning: the following statement is an emotional, overly gushy advertisement of my perfect baby.

I can’t believe you are already one month old today! Since we brought you home from the hospital, you’ve been as close to perfect as an infant can get. You must’ve been listening in my belly (as your cousin Emily says, “you can get reception in there?”) to your wild, giggly, sometimes unruly brother for 10 months, and you knew I needed a helping hand. You decided to come 2 weeks early…amazing, as healthy as can be…amazing, AND you have pretty much slept the whole MONTH…AMAZING!

You rarely ever cry,  and you gained 2lbs in your first week of life (world record?). You are an AMAZING eater as this picture exploits below! I HEART YOUR SQUISHY CHUBS!

To celebrate your one-month-oldness, we did everything…Bo wanted to do: “golden draw-bridge,” train museum, and the River Train ride. You didn’t object and well, you slept the whole time. I did get this one pic of you two squinty-eyed bro’s chilling in the sun in Old Town Sacramento.

Bo did sing to you, though:  “Happy Birthday Dear Bo-Bo!” We are still working out the egocentric kinks.

Labor Day at the Sea

After two Dramamine and three and a half hours later, our dreary family of four arrived at Nana and Poppa Argenal’s amazing “home way from home” in Sea Ranch. As always, it’s well-worth the windy trek!

It was an amazing three days of family fun, relaxation and a lot of staring and gushing over our newest baby bundle!

Bo was obsessed with finding “deers” with Nana’s binoculars and, of course, showing off his trains to his little brother.

Ace was super interested in Thomas, as you can see…

Sea Ranch is always the perfect escape from our stresses – there is almost zero cell reception and no stores close by. So we play games, walk along “the Ranch” trails and explore the beaches.

Bo, you are a heart-melter! Watch out, ladies.

It’s such a great mini-vacation for Gus right before season strikes!!! And it’s literally just a few weeks away…where did the summer go? Ace is almost one month old already!!!

Thanks again, Nana and Poppa for another amazing Sea Ranch escape! Bo won’t stop asking when we are going back to “Cabin House.”

Week 4…yep, totally sound asleep.

At the rate he is going, he will dominate Toddlers and Tiaras for sure. He LOVES getting his beauty sleep. Believe me, this is NOT a complaint. He is the EASIEST infant on the planet…I feel like the LUCKIEST Mother of two ALIVE! However, I would like to see those peepers once in a while.
