Cheese and Bumbos in Louisiana

Gus gone on a long roadtrip? Check.

Chilly weather with rambunctious kids tearing apart the house? Check.

Time to cowboy up and take a road trip for some family fun? CHECK!!!!

The boys were so excited to see Auntie Suzanne after the 6 hour trek! It was a very rainy weekend, so we took the boys on their first trip to Chuck E. Cheese’s….in Monroe, LA, which is ironic since we have one within a 10 minute walk from our house in Texas. Let’s just say it was an experience that Suzanne and I will never EVER forget.

When we were able to find an open game that wasn’t being dominated by kids, or by fully engrossed adults playing by themselves (weird, right?), the boys did have some fun. Let’s just say, Dave and Busters would do quite well there. It was just so incredibly busy and LOUD that you couldn’t see straight…I assume since Monroe is a small town there is not that much to do in the rain with kids.  Well, except maybe hunting, because I’m pretty sure I’ve never seen so much Camo gear in my life.

Uncle J got home that night from another WIN (woo-hoo, Bulldogs!) and we spent a CHILLY Sunday running around a beautiful little park in Ruston.

Justin and Bo went on an EPIC Bumbo hunt that included mysterious footprints and they even found a Bumbo Shower! No worries, though, Bo was armed as usual.

My lil’ road-troopers were studs in the car.  Though they ate WAY too many goldfish and my car is a TRUE disaster, to me it’s ALWAYS worth it to make the trip to see our fam!
