I’m so glad I wrote journal entries into Bo’s baby book, because it’s so fun to compare. Their similarities are hilarious and their differences make them preciously loved individuals..
At 5 months, Ace is a CHUB of LOVE just like his brother was, but unlike his brother he has Momma’s skin tone (sorry, Acey!)
Though he will need to work a little harder on his tan, just like Bo he is a HUGE smiler and a laugher! He loves to laugh out-loud with a huge belly laugh and it’s ADDICTIVE. I will do almost ANYTHING to hear that giggle.
One thing that makes #2 so special are his lil’ blue peepers. Those things definitely aren’t turning brown like his big bros! They are the exact color of his Auntie Natalie’s which is so special because she lives far away; I have a daily reminder of her beautiful deep blues!
As far as milestones, this babe has been sleeping 10-11 hours a night for a few months now. He also rolled-over around the same time as Bo, but he is so much more content to just lay there and soak in the world. Bo was more active and needed more stimulation. Little Acey is the easiest infant on the planet…kind of a dream when your 1st child is a 2 year old and needs your attention 25/8.
As I’m writing this, Ace is sitting next to me in the couch just watching me type. Oh, it’s simply the best life!!! BLESSED.
It’s not all flowers and roses, though. Ace won’t take a bottle or a pacifier! Bo was a champ at both and when you are an -on the go- Mom like I am, both of those plastic substitutes are CRUCIAL. Let’s just say Ace has shed A LOT of tears in the car.
One thing that is nice about no paci, though, is that Ace goes to sleep by simply laying him down in his crib and turning on his mobile; therefore, I won’t have to break him of the sucky habit.
Love that Acey ended up with blue eyes. Fun to have a lil' variation.
